Background of IEI HICoE
Institute of Energy Infrastructure (IEI) was formally established in December 2016. As one of the core research institutes in University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), IEI aspires to be a globally known research institute in development and advancement of sustainable infrastructure in the energy sector. In 2024, IEI has been recognized as a Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) Malaysia. The HICoE Research Grant is being granted from March 2024 until February 2027.
